Hi there! I am a French/American software and interaction designer currently living in Tokyo. I deeply believe in the magic and romance of computing, and love building interactive tools that empower people to better create, share, and understand the world around them.

I have been in the computing industry for over 15 years. After a brief stint in HCI academia, I spent a few years in tech startups, both as early employee and cofounder. I then worked as a designer/engineer for Apple from 2014 to 2022, on projects that blended hardware sensor technology with human interaction, such as FaceID, iPhone Camera, and Apple Pencil.

I've been independent since 2023, working on my own projects and collaborating with people who inspire me.

Beyond tech, I am inspired by long backpacking trips in the mountains (with particular affinity for the French Alps, Californian Sierra Nevada, and Japanese Alps), reading books of all kinds, drawing and painting, music, science & math, film photography, museums, and traditional craftsmanship of all kinds (especially woodworking and block printing).
I think birds are really cool and are the big winners of evolution on Earth so far. 🐦‍⬛

If you'd like to have a conversation about design, software engineering, photography, human-computer interaction, I'd love to hear from you.

I am also always especially happy to meet young designers/engineers seeking mentorship, or just wanting to chat.

If you didn't go to a fancy (or any) school, are just getting started in your career, or feel like you are from an underserved community, I'd especially appreciate giving you a hand in any way I can.
